The
A. T. is an example of a fine French doll. A Thullier produced dolls
from 1875 to 1890. The early A.T.’s are the most sought after do to the
hight qualtiy of the porcelain, painting, and bodies. It is believed
that a company other than A. Thullier produced the later dolls using the
same molds. This explains the poorer workmanship of the later dolls.
Sowatzka’s are offering a reproduction of the earlier A.T., with delicately
painted lashes and brows, large almond shaped eyes, and exquisite costumes.
She comes on a composition body and is available in two sizes, 17" and
22" tall. She is available for $595.
