The Doll Doctor
 by Dan Stevens

I really don’t have a favorite doll story but I can say I bear witness to what your skill of restoration can do.

One year ago I bought an antique doll for $110 for my fiancé Margie Covelli. I don’t have an interest in dolls. However, she had wanted one so, alas, I bought this one for a gift.

She loved it for about a month before one of our “girls” Isabelle, a very large dog, decided to play with it. Margie was extremely upset and set about trying to find someone up to the task of restoring her baby to what she had looked like.

After many “doll doctors” told her the doll was beyond repair she was about to give up hope. That is when she found you.

I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical of anyone’s ability to repair this doll. I had tried to talk Margie out of having it repaired. I even told her I would buy another antique doll.

She would not hear of it!

Well, it did take some time but the repair/restoration was completed. Margie received her baby today. If there is really a perfect homecoming, this was it. All seems right in Margie’s world now that her baby is safe at home.

Now I have to admit that I was really surprised by your work. It looks brand new. I think you even went beyond expectations and put extra effort into it. I can say that your love for your work and skill at restoration really show through.

Normally I would not write a testimonial but it’s nice to see someone that takes great care and pride in delivering what they promise. Also the look on Margie’s face of a “loved one” coming home in excellent condition was well worth the time she waited and the money spent.
