heads painted by Louise Sowatzka are used to create a Victorian Jack in
the Box. There are a number of heads to choose from, you can choose
from a Bru, Jumeau, or a Steiner. No matter which doll you choose,
the artwork is copied directly from photographs of antique dolls, and is
done as only a Master Doll Artisan can do. The detail in the artwork
is exquisite. Costumes are made of the finest materials available.
These masterpieces are created for each individual customer, so personal
touches can be added. The boxes are decorated with antiqued trims
and various jewels and beads, so if you have a special antique broach or
other jewelry, it can be incorporated into the jack in the box to make
it even more personal. Do you have a special music box song?
Music boxes can be special ordered to add special meaning to your new family
heirloom. No two Jack in the Boxes are alike. Heads are signed
and numbered by Louise Sowatzka. The wigs are made of the finest
mohair available, and the eyes are glass paperweight eyes, just like ones
found in the original dolls. The cost is approximately $850, an additional
fee may be added for custom order. Quantity is limited to 50.
