About the Artist: Mary has been painting dolls for eight years.  She is working on completing her Master Doll Artisan Certification through the IFDM.  She has won numerous awards.  Her dolls have been sold throughout the country. She taught doll classes to pay her way through college, and upon graduation, she has decided to continue with her love for dolls.  Mary majored in Human Biology at the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, but has come back to her first love of dollmaking.  Mary is the daughter-in-law of Gary and Louise, owners of Sowatzka's Dolls .  Although not born into the Sowatzka tradition of dollmaking, she has learned the family trade and is creating dolls with tender loving care.  Mary has created many different dolls, but her favorites to make are the small all-bisque ones. She has developed her own series of limited edition dolls featured by  Sowatzka's Dolls .

Antique Reproduction: Like all reproduction dolls offered by Sowatzka's Dolls , Mary's reproductions are very close copies of the originals.  The artwork is copied from photographs of the original dolls, and only cotton thread is used to knit the costumes for her all-bisque dolls.  The dolls are hand painted by Mary, and the outfits are created by hand specifically for each doll.
 

	Buster  This impish 6" all bisque features painted hair and eyes and has two  top teeth showing through his smile. Buster is on a porcelain body with moveable arms and legs. His clothing is a knitted romper with a stylish hat.  Buster is numbered and signed by the artist and he is limited to 100.    Cost: $118.00
	Pucker  Another impish 6" all bisque. As her name suggests, she is puckered up and ready to kiss. She has either painted or glass eyes, and a long curled wig.  Pucker is on a porcelain body with moveable arms and legs.  She is dressed in a knitted sundress with a knitted sunhat.  Pucker is signed and numbered by the artist and is limited to 100.   Cost: $118.00
	Pip  Cousin to Pucker, she is a round faced all bisque doll.  Pip stands 6" tall on a porcelain body with moveable arms and legs. She has a bouncy curly wig and either painted or glass eyes.   Her sundress is hand knitted with crocheted trim.  Pip is signed and numbered by the artist and is limited to 100.   Cost $118.00
	All-bisque character bunny   The  character doll is 6" tall, with painted eyes, hair and shoes.  It is all porcelain, with moveable arms.  The bunny can be done as either a girl or a boy, and makes a perfect Easter gift.  The bunny is dressed in a hand knitted jumper, trimmed with either blue or pink.  Each bunny is signed and numbered by Mary Sowatzka.  This child bunny is limited to 100.    Cost $98.00
